Everyone talks about having goals, having vision. But you really need to create an anti-vision because it is easy to identify what you don’t want by observing and experience. What you want may not be still clear to you, so wait till the last of this article before I give you some insights on how to identify what you want and make a vision off of that.

Getting ahead in life isn’t just about dreaming big. It’s also about understanding what we don’t want and where we might end up if we keep doing the same old things.

Facing Discomfort

The first step to getting ahead is facing discomfort head-on. By thinking about what we really don’t like, we can find a strong motivation to change. Negative feelings, like when we’re worried or annoyed, can actually help us move forward if we use them right.

Turning Negatives into Positives

Making an Anti-Vision isn’t about being negative all the time. It’s about getting clear about what we want by thinking about what we don’t want. It’s like drawing a picture of the opposite of our dreams. This helps us figure out where we really want to go.
